Course Description

Thank you for taking the mediation theory and practice course. If you attended every class and/or made up any absences as approved by the professor, completion of the below training course will represent your completion of the CA DRPA training component.

Please note that to become a fully certified mediator you will have to mediate a dispute that is observed and evaluated by a professional.

The following represent a few organizations that qualify to oversee your work in becoming a DRPA-certified mediator:

  • Asian Pacific American Dispute Resolution Center: (213) 250-8190
  • California Conference for Equality and Justice: (562) 435-8184
  • Centinela Youth Services: (310) 970-7702
  • Office of the Los Angeles City Attorney: (213) 978-1880

Pepperdine currently has an externship relationship established with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office and you may be able to receive credit for participation.
